Braces are used to straighten teeth. Diagnosis of an occlusal or aesthetic problem early can shorten the treatment time by intervening early. We aim to screen all our patients so that they can anticipate the need for intervention and plan accordingly. Knowledge is power.
Advances in technology over the years have changed braces dramatically – from metal ‘train tracks’ to ceramic and clear brackets to plastic/invisible tray aligners. This new invisible braces system, Invisalign™, consist of a series of clear plastic trays that are worn in sequence to carefully shift the teeth into the proper position.
Like traditional braces, there is a retention period once the movement is complete, but again we can utilize this new technology and fabricate clear plastic retainers. Even if a person has had more traditional bracket/wire braces, they can get Invisalign like retainers. Be sure and ask us if you would like to toss your plastic metal retainer appliance for something that’s ‘clearly’ superior. We’ld be glad to help.
Even if you have a ‘regular dentist’ but they don’t’ do Invisalign, we would gladly accept you for orthodontic treatment and communicate with your ‘regular’ dentist as to treatment progress. We gladly accept referrals from our colleagues.
